Cultural competency in schools across America has become a demonstrated need as evidenced by the achievement gap, the changing demographics in our nation's schools, and an increased awareness of the value of culturally responsive teaching strategies. We are educators with over 45 years combined experience that includes successful classroom teaching at the secondary and collegiate levels, as well as award winning leadership in the field of multicultural education. As a result of our experience, we have developed a program that we believe will enhance any school or school district's efforts to create an atmosphere in which each each student is valued and affirmed. Our approach is to tailor techniques to meet the demonstrated needs of teachers, counselors, administrators, support staff and community members as they work to create an equitable educational system that provides opportunities for all students. Aside from the educational value, our professional development workshops are designed to be practical and engaging, intended to provide educators with a renewed level of confidence as they work to provide culturally responsive education to their diverse student populations. We welcome the opportunity to meet with you to discuss our programs and how they can aid the educational professionals in your school district.
